The 11th International Lion Dance Championship 2024 – MGM Cup |
|
With 21 lion dance troupes from 13 countries and regions participating this year, “The 11th International Lion Dance Championship 2024 – MGM Cup” was successfully concluded in October, presenting a highly-entertaining world-class sports event at the Barra Square in front of the world heritage site A-Ma Temple. This year, MGM live-streamed the event globally on streaming platforms and has attracted nearly 3 million viewers both online and offline.

hush! Beach Concerts x Yo~ga Wellfest 2024
|
|
Jointly organized by MGM and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macao SAR (ICM), the “hush! Beach Concerts x Yo~ga Wellfest 2024” was held successfully in November, with the participation of nearly 26,000 locals and international visitors. To support the development of “tourism + sports and health” industries in Macau, MGM leveraged its international network to invite more than 30 renowned fitness and yoga instructors from Asia to Macau, delivering a range of professional workouts and yoga courses onsite. On the other hand, the “hush! Beach Concerts” has brought together nearly 60 local and foreign bands, musicians and artists to perform, which jointly orchestrated a “marathon” event featuring music and yoga along the coast.

2024 MGM Macau Tennis Masters has come to an end in December. In addition to presenting a wonderful game, the tennis stars also interacted with young tennis players meanwhile participating in community activities at the Barra District, and more, in which they enjoyed the unique charm of Macau.

MGM and Fuhong organize event themed on mental health |
|
MGM and Fuhong Society of Macau have jointly organized the sixth annual World Mental Health Day series of activities, inviting the individuals in mental health recovery and community members to work together and create two large-scale artworks by using five different crafts, including zentangle, stamp painting, sticker painting, cloisonné, and diamond painting, which also combined with elements of Macau's scenic spots and the exterior design of the MGM buildings. The event was participated by nearly 300 participants from 23 schools, social organizations, enterprises, and members of the Golden Lion Volunteer Team.

MGM Sponsors Greater Bay Area History Knowledge Competition
|
|
MGM proudly sponsored “The First MGM Cup: Greater Bay Area Secondary School History Knowledge Competition”, which was organized by the Macao Association for Historical Education, with the participation of nearly a hundred finalist students from 32 schools in the Greater Bay Area. Additionally, MGM organized a historical and cultural tour for the participating students. They visited several world heritage sites in Macau and the Macao Museum. The highlight of this tour was the visit to the Poly MGM Museum, where the students enjoyed an exhibition on the historical development of the Maritime Silk Road. The group also explored Barra District, which was once a center of the shipbuilding industry, to learn more about its historical significance.

MGM supports charitable activities

|
MGM presented another year of undivided support to Macau Tung Sing Tong Charitable Society’s annual fundraising campaign with a donation of MOP 700,000. For 17 consecutive years, MGM has accumulated a total of MOP 8.6 million donation. Besides, MGM donated MOP700,000 to Charity Fund from the Readers of Macao Daily News to support Walk for a Million. We were glad to have over 1,000 team members and families to support this charitable cause on-site and showcase our Golden Lion spirit.

MGM Organizes “Double Celebration of Love and Community Care” to Promote Inclusive Society |
|
With the aim to foster connections between people from different backgrounds and cultivate a harmonious and happy community, MGM organized the event “Double Celebration of Love and Community Care”. The event featured a series of activities to promote an inclusive society, including wedding photos taken for 25 elderly couples with an average age of 75, scarves hand-knitted by volunteers for people in need, and free haircuts provided to senior citizens by youths and MGM Volunteer Team members. The MGM Golden Lion Volunteer Team, along with senior citizens, youths, and people with disabilities also presented music and dance performances during the event.

MGM holds a Poon Choi Banquet |
|
MGM has specially invited more than 400 guests, namely Barra’s cooperative partners, as well as guests from different local associations and organizations to enjoy a Poon Choi Banquet at Barra District, appreciating their great support for this district. Barra Kitchen’s eight local F&B outlets also helped prepare “Eight Appetizers Platter” with their signature dishes for this banquet, wishing a healthy and prosperous new year ahead to all.

“Responsible Gaming Campus Ambassador” Program |

In order to promote proper financial management and values among college students, MGM joined forces with the City University of Macau to organize the “Responsible Gaming Campus Ambassador” Program from September to November. This program concluded with a certificate award ceremony for nearly 40 ambassadors from various majors such as International Tourism and Management, Social Work and so on.

MGM collaborated with MGTO to launch the “Together We Deliver Exceptional Hospitality as Tourism Ambassadors” Training Series. One of the key highlights of this series is the “Youth Hospitality Activities - Macao Tourism Courtesy Short Video Contest”, which has collected more than 170 videos. Through the lens of the youth, the works bring out Macau’s unique glamour and warm hospitality for visitors.

MGM Cross Generation New Year Celebration |

In a bid to promote cross-generation harmony, MGM held the “MGM Cross Generation New Year Celebration” for 200 elderly and students, where they enjoyed performance, health consultations from Chinese medicine doctors, handwritten spring couplets and so on.

MGM supports the construction of “Family Education Experiential Zone” |

To further promote family education, MGM collaborated with the The Women’s General Association of Macau to launch the “Connect with Love – Family Education Program”, including the sponsorship of the establishment of Macau’s first one-stop “Family Education Experiential Zone”. The “Family Education Experiential Zone” has been officially unveiled and is open to the public.

To promote inclusivity in our society, MGM has been supporting Macau Special Olympics to organize skills competition for 15 consecutive years. “The 17th Occupational Skills Competition and 2024 Talent Showcasing Competition” held earlier once again offered an opportunity for our Golden Lion Volunteer Team to team up with the members with intellectual disabilities in the “Inclusive Cake Decoration Competition”, promoting the spirit of teamwork.

Organized by MGM, The Association for Promotion of Science & Technology of Macau and Chinese Astronautical Society, study trip in Zhuhai Airshow, as part of the "Macau Space Dream Project", was successfully concluded recently. This event allowed 24 primary students to have deeper knowledge of aerospace science and technology.

It has attracted nearly 7,000 team members to join while raising their awareness of occupational safety and health.

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR, MGM Academy invited management and team members to visit the “Palace of Double Brilliance: Special Exhibition from the Palace Museum” co-organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Palace Museum, as well as the “Special-Themed Guided Tour for Handover Gifts Exhibition” organized by the Handover Gifts Museum of Macao.

With active promotion from MGM Academy, over 120 team members participated in the exam and got great results.
