Enriching Sport Tourism Offerings for “2023 MGM Macao International Regatta”
Jointly organized by the Sports Bureau and Ursa Major Sailing Event Management, the “2023 MGM Macao International Regatta” takes place in January. Having the honor to become the title sponsor of the event, MGM devotes its undivided support towards this international maritime sport event hosted by Macau. In view of enriching sports tourism products to make the race more attractive and engaging to all, MGM organizes a diverse lineup of side events at MGM MACAU, including the new “Sailing Fun Day” and the display of Hobie 16 sailboat. These fascinating happenings welcome all residents and tourists to experience and enjoy the charm of sailing sports, as well as the allure of Macau’s shores.

New Fondant Art Exhibition at MGM COTAI
MGM joins hands with Zhou Yi, a master in Chinese fondant art who is also crowned as the “Sugar King” of China, to present the Fondant Art Exhibition at MGM COTAI. The exhibition, being the first solo exhibition of Zhou Yi, is aspired to promote Chinese traditional culture and dough-sculpture, a traditional Chinese craftsmanship that is also a piece of intangible cultural heritage, of which Zhou Yi creatively fuses dough with fondant art, a western artistic medium, to create Chinese style doll figures that amuse all. Innovatively merges food crafting techniques, such as dough-sculpting and fondant art, and artistic techniques like painting, spray painting and sculpturing, the exhibition flaunts a brand-new cultural tourism experience of the art of living.
Partners with Art Basel Hong Kong to Present “Long Time No See” in Hong Kong
MGM and Art Basel Hong Kong presented the “Long Time No See” Sector Party, an art and cultural celebration to support creative energy coming back to Hong Kong with the city welcoming back local and international visitors. The partnership kick-started one of Hong Kong’s first major art and cultural occasions sponsored by MGM during the Art Basel week, which saw a stellar line-up of some of the most renowned art and cultural figures, fashion icons, music and movie industry leaders.

In addition, MGM has also organized a group of VIP delegation from Macau to Art Basel Hong Kong. MGM hopes to give fresh impetus on the rising global art trend and create opportunities for Macau cultural leaders for dialogue and engagement with established artists and new emerging talents from around the globe.
MGM Theater Presented “The Rebirth of Dance in China: Performance & Exchange Series”
MGM Theater presented "The Rebirth of Dance in China" 2023 Performance & Exchange Series: When Dance Meets Digital Art – “Non-numerical Series: Contrast” by TAO Dance Theater”, organized by the China Dancers Association, MGM and the Macau Dancers Association. The performance marks a collaboration between TAO Dance Theater, with its performance named as one of the World’s 10 Best Dance Shows by Time Out New York; renowned experimental musician Xiao He; and the team of Leong Lampo, Professor of the Centre for Arts and Design at the University of Macau. The three parties interweaved multiple art mediums, powered by cutting-edge audio and visual technologies of MGM Theater, to jointly create a brilliant feast of digital art and dance. nd its gratitude for the continued efforts in assisting the underprivileged in Macau for the past seven decades.

Introduces Technical and Vocational Education School – Enterprise Cooperation with FAOM
MGM has inked a letter of intent with Macau Federation of Trade Unions (FAOM) last year and became the first integrated resort operator to promote technical and vocational education with FAOM. This year, the two parties joined hands to roll out the “MGM Youth Development Series – MGM Technical and Vocational Education School – Enterprise Cooperation”, a new program that provides internship learning opportunities for students of Macau Kung Luen Vocational & Technical Middle School. With tailor-made learning programs comprised of internship, training courses and site visits, MGM hopes to help nurturing future technical professionals and prepare them for the job market, through enhancing the professional skills and industry recognitions for the students enrolled in the program.
Jointly Organize the Fifth Culinary Demonstration Workshop with M.U.S.T.
In celebration of the 23rd anniversary of the Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.), MGM once again joined hands with the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management of the university to organize a culinary demonstration workshop, as the kick-off event of the “‘Chef Series’ – Culinary Demonstration Workshop”. Coming to the fifth edition of the collaboration, Chef Ricardo de Oliveira, Chef de Cuisine of Rossio, MGM MACAU, was invited to showcase his expertise in Portuguese cuisine to the bachelor’s and master’s students of M.U.S.T. Both parties hope to enable students to better understand the professional culinary techniques, and at the same time grasping the industry trend ahead to prepare them for their career development.
Organized CNY Festivities for Elderly for the 12th Consecutive Year
MGM has carried on its philanthropic tradition to send Chinese New Year (CNY) wishes to the elderly for the 12th year in a row. As usual, the Golden Lion Volunteer Team organized a series of festivities prior to CNY, including spring clean at several elderly centers, Fai Chun writings by local students, free haircuts, etc., to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit with the elderly amidst great joy and warmth.

Sharing Session on National People's Congress and National Political Consultative Conference
For the fourth consecutive year. MGM organized the “MGM National and Cultural Education Series - Sharing Session on National People's Congress and National Political Consultative Conference” – with Kou Hoi In, Member of the Standing Committee of the NPC and President of the Legislative Assembly of Macau; Chui Sai Peng, Member of the NPC and Member of the Legislative Assembly of Macau; Ho Sut Heng, Member of the NPC and President of Macau Federation of Trade Unions; Iau Teng Pio, Member of the CPPCC and Member of the Legislative Assembly of Macau; and Lo Iek Long, Member of the CPPCC, Director of the Health Bureau, and President of the Macao Youth Federation as keynote speakers to share about the Two Sessions. A group of MGM team members, together with students and teaching staff of local tertiary institutions, attended the event to learn about the Nation’s key policies.
Seminar on Spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC and Development of Hengqin
Following the successful conclusion of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, MGM earlier hosted the “MGM National Education Series – Seminar on Spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC and Development of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin”. At the event, Sio Chi Wai, Macao Deputy to the National People's Congress, Director of the Chinese Association of Hong Kong & Macao Studies, and President of the Macau Development Strategy Research Centre; as well as Chan Ka Leong, Member of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Member of the Executive Council of the Macao SAR, and Director-General of the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macao, expounded on the gist of the Report to the 20th National Congress to MGM team members and explored ways to better implement its spirit into the Hengqin development, with an objective to better integrate Macau into the Nation’s development.
Organizes Macau’s First “Inspiring Stories of Zhang Jian Multimedia Presentation”
MGM launched the “Inspiring Stories of Zhang Jian Multimedia Presentation” in partnership with Nantong Overseas Friendship Association, Federation of Nantong Industry and Commerce and Federation of Nantong Overseas Chinese, and Nantong Friendship Association of Macau, Nantong Commercial Association of Macau and Association of Patriotism Exchange (Macao) as supporting units. The Presentation introduces the history of the patriotic entrepreneur Zhang Jian and attracted over 200 team members of MGM, representatives of local community groups and local youth. Through highlighting Zhang Jian’s keen spirit of entrepreneurship and his love for the country, the organizers hope to strengthen the sense of social responsibilities and the important national doctrine of “Four Matters of Confidences” among the participants.

Attains Seven Five-Star Awards from Forbes Travel Guide
MGM once again garnered a total of seven Forbes Travel Guide’s Five-Star Awards for 2023. This year marks MGM MACAU and the spa concept Tria at both MGM MACAU and MGM COTAI receiving Forbes Travel Guide’s Five-Star honors for the eighth and fourth consecutive year, respectively. On top of these, the Company won four Five-Star Awards between both properties for two years in a row: the Emerald Tower, the Skylofts and Sichuanese restaurant Five Foot Road at MGM COTAI; and Cantonese restaurant Imperial Court at MGM MACAU.
MGM’s Restaurants Recognized in Regional Dining Awards
MGM’s restaurant Imperial Court at MGM MACAU has been awarded the rating of One-diamond from Black Pearl Restaurant Guide 2023 and listed in the prestigious 100 Top Tables 2023 hosted by internationally renowned media, South China Morning Post (SCMP). Another Chinese restaurant Five Foot Road at MGM COTAI was also listed on the 100 Top Tables 2023. These recognitions serve as a testament to MGM’s unwavering strive to strengthen Macau’s position as a UNESCO-designated “Creative City of Gastronomy,” meanwhile promoting Chinese culture through gastronomy and craftsmanship.
